BSA Specialist

Banesco USA is seeking a BSA Specialist for our BSA Regulatory Unit.

Primary Job Duties: 

• Responsible for performing reviews of KYC profile of new accounts as well as reviewing KYC updates.
• Responsible for performing reviews of documentation of High Risk Accounts including but not limited to domestic, international, loans and standby LC.
• Ensure OFAC and worldcheck verification were performed on the accounts and review the hits referred by operations via FIS.
• Ensure that the ultimate beneficial information of new business accounts are clearly identified in the new account documents.
• Ensure the ongoing maintenance of the new/completed account logs. 
• Responsible for verifying accounts risk codes, NAICS/SIC and if customer is a PEP or not.
• Responsible for truth technologies weekly scrubbing.
• Responsible for updating the internal black list.
• Responsible to clear potential OFAC hits on wire transfer via FIS.
• Assist VP, International Compliance Manager in other duties and projects as assigned. 
• Responsible for completing annual training program assigned. 
• Performs other functions and/or duties as assigned.

Job Requirements: 

• Education: High school degree required with equivalent experience.
• Experience: Five (5) years of experience in the Banking industry preferably in the BSA/Compliance area.
• Advance computer skills including but not limited to proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
• Must be bilingual in both English and Spanish. Ability to fluently speak, understand, read and write both languages.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to multi-task, with strong organization, time-management and prioritizing skills. 
• Knowledge of BSA/AML standards and practices. 
• Intermediate knowledge of related State and Federal banking compliance regulations and operational policies. 
• Ability to work in a team environment ensuring deadlines are met.
• Ability to understand and comprehend instructions, procedures and policies ensuring compliance with the Bank’s policies and procedures. 
• Intermediate knowledge in bank’s operation activities, terminology and products and services.
