We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to support our project management team and help drive our projects to successful completion.
Job Summary:
The Project Manager provides overall management, administrative and technical direction for two or more projects - including the implementation of Lean Construction principles to ensure corporate objectives and goals are met.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, specifications, budget, and schedule.
- Monitor / control construction through administrative direction of on-site Project Superintendent and/or Project Engineer and/or Project Field Staff to ensure project is built on schedule, within budget, with quality and while ensuring safety as a core value.
- Establish project objectives and goals, as well as set policies, procedures, and performance standards within boundaries of Corporate Policy in place to ensure timely project completion.
- Interface with client representatives, owners, architect/engineer representatives, trade partners, suppliers, city officials, safety and security, to facilitate construction activities.
- Assist the field staff with implementation/enforcement of safety, security, and environmental standards.
- Prepare and update a detailed master construction schedule and subsequent phased schedules for management review and project implementation.
- Responsible for project budget to include subcontract negotiations, buy-out, job cost reporting, pay applications, change orders, etc.
- Cooperate, assist, and interface with all other company departments, including accounting and safety/risk management.
- Ensure inspections and tests are performed as per quality control standards and best practices as required. Coordinate quality control and safety implementation efforts through Project Field Staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in vertical construction project management
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specs, and procedures is required
- Strong understanding and proven practice with construction financial management is required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Procore, Bluebeam, or other construction software
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- OSHA 10/30 certification preferred
