The Senior Accountant plays a key role in maintaining the financial integrity of the organization. This position is responsible for monthly close processes, reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities for Senior Accountant:
- Prepare and generate accurate monthly financial reports in a timely manner
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial results and reporting
- Maintain compliance with current accounting principles and financial reporting standards
- Complete monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintain and monitor internal controls over financial transactions
- Ensure accounts payable and accounting records are complete and audit-ready, especially for year-end external audits
- Maintain organized and accurate accounting documentation and filing systems
- Assist with additional accounting and finance duties as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
- 5 years of general ledger or month-end close experience
- Skilled nursing facility or long-term care experience (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
Salary : $85,000 - $95,000
