Job Summary: The Account Manager will play a pivotal role in managing relationships with existing discount store buyers, proactively expanding our client base within the woven apparel segment and ensuring continuous alignment of product offerings with broader market demands. This position requires close collaboration with the design team, deep technical knowledge of woven fabrics and garment manufacturing processes, combined with strong sales acumen and relationship-building skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned discount and big box store accounts.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with key buyers, ensuring excellent communication and responsiveness.
- Conduct regular client visits to present new product offerings, review performance, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Business Development:
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the woven apparel sector.
- Generate leads through market research, industry networking, and referrals.
- Present compelling product proposals tailored to specific customer needs and market trends.
Market Intelligence and Product Knowledge:
- Maintain an expert-level understanding of woven fabrics, including yarn types, fabric construction, dyeing and finishing processes, and garment production techniques.
- Stay current with fashion trends, competitor offerings, and market dynamics relevant to discount and department stores.
- Provide insightful feedback internally regarding market needs, competitor activity, and potential product innovations.
Sales and Order Management:
- Prepare and present detailed sales proposals and quotations to buyers.
- Collaborate closely with internal design, production, and logistics teams to ensure accurate order fulfillment.
- Monitor order statuses, proactively managing delivery timelines and resolving any issues swiftly.
Reporting and Administration:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records within the system.
- Provide regular sales forecasts, performance metrics, and market feedback reports to senior management.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10-15 years of account management or sales experience within the apparel industry, specifically woven products.
- Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in woven fabrics and garment manufacturing.
- Established relationships with buyers at major discount and big box stores
