Shipping & Receiving Specialist 4P-12A

Job Summary:
Shipping Specialist will verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments involving inventory. Duties
include verifying and recording material and arranging for the transportation of products and preparing items for
shipment. They will adhere to all Bandit safety, quality, inventory and production guidelines, standards, policies,
and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Examine shipment contents and verify against records.
• Load or unload deliveries from customers, carriers or suppliers.
• Prepare documents, such as work orders, shipping orders and route forms.
• Pack, seal, label materials for shipping.
• Record and/or report shipment data, such as weight, charges, damages, or other discrepancies
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing

the effective manufacture and distribution goods.

• Determine shipping methods, routes, or rates for materials to be transported/shipped.
• Route material/products to proper department/company.
• Maintain clean work area.
• Meet shipping deadlines.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to read a tape measure, basic shop math, and/or able to read a blueprint.
• Ability to use a tape measure and other measuring instruments.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills
• Complete Bandit’s crane and/or forklift safety training

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently stand, walk, push, pull, stoop, pinch, grasp, and/or bend
• Requires employee to work both inside/outside in heat/cold, and/or wet/humid conditions.
• Frequently required to use personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent injury.
• Frequently lift 50 pounds
• Occasionally lift 60 pounds
