What are the responsibilities and job description for the Harness Builder position at Bandit Industries, Inc.?
Job Summary:
Harness Builder 1 is responsible for assembling basic electrical harnesses and component. They will utilize engineering blueprints and Bill of Materials (BOM) to perform wiring, harnessing, cabling which includes wire stripping, crimping, looming, torch use and layout of harnesses for assembly. They will adhere to all Bandit safety, quality, inventory and production guidelines, standards, policies, and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Understand basic electrical circuits and be able to assemble them.
- Read blueprints to determine materials required for assembly.
- Routes, wires, and assembles electronic components using wire layout boards.
- Recognize when there is a problem or issue with a machine and let the appropriate authority know.
- Examine finish product to ensure they meet specifications.
- Knowledge of basic hand tools to put parts on.
- Recommend adjustments to the assembly or production process.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to read a tape measure, basic shop math, and able to read a blueprint.
- Ability to use a tape measure and other measuring instruments.
- Basic written and verbal communication skills
- Complete Bandit’s crane and/or forklift safety training
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently stand, walk, push, pull, stoop, pinch, grasp, and/or bend
- Requires employee to work both inside/outside in heat/cold, and/or wet/humid conditions.
- Frequently required to use personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent injury.
- Frequently lift 50 pounds
- Occasionally lift 60 pounds
