What are the responsibilities and job description for the Master Scheduler position at Bandit Equipment?
Job Summary:
Master Scheduler will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing the master production schedule to ensure alignment with customer demand, resource availability, and company objectives. They will communicate with multiple departments to ensure operational efficiency and accurate lead time of machines. They will adhere to all Bandit safety, quality, inventory and production guidelines, standards, policies, and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and incorporate any changes to the schedule based on new customer orders, demand fluctuations, or unforeseen disruptions.
- Monitor project progress and identify any deviations from the schedule, taking proactive measures to address delays or other issues.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in maintaining and updating schedules.
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
- Develop inventory targets and schedule production to achieve targeted production goals.
- Forecast all assemblies that need to be completed.
- Recommend scheduling adjustments to management supporting changing customer needs.
- Identify and correct any problems that may arise with the production schedule.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous work experience in scheduling or related field preferred
- Understanding and knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of ERP systems
- Proficient computer skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently sit for extended periods of time
- Occasionally stand, walk, push, pull, stoop, pinch, grasp, and/or bend
- Requires employee to occasionally work both inside/outside in heat/cold, and/or wet/humid conditions.
- Occasionally required to use personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent injury.
