Duties
- Assist with concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing to ensure smooth and level surfaces.
- Set up and dismantle formwork using carpentry skills and hand tools, ensuring proper alignment and stability.
- Install rebar reinforcement according to blueprints and schematics to strengthen concrete structures.
- Operate power tools and heavy equipment safely for tasks such as concrete pumping or site preparation.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to support accurate execution of projects.
- Perform heavy lifting and manual labor required for site preparation, material handling, and cleanup.
- Support masonry, stucco, plastering, tile laying, flooring installation, and other related tasks as needed on-site.
Qualifications
- Prior construction site experience is highly preferred; familiarity with concrete work is a plus.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely.
- Knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics, and metal stud framing is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly and work in various weather conditions.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation, scaffolding, and site hazards.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards learning new techniques in concrete finishing, rebar installation, and renovation projects.
