Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute the month-end and year-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
- Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations, including cash, AR, AP, and inventory valuation.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and proper controls.
- Monitor AR aging and AP balances, investigating discrepancies and improving cash flow visibility.
- Maintain and reconcile inventory valuation accounts, ensuring alignment with financial records.
- Prepare accurate financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Maintain integrity of financial data across ERP systems.
- Assist with multi-state sales tax filings, payments, and reconciliations.
- Prepare audit schedules and support external audits.
- Identify and implement process improvements, particularly around close and reconciliation processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3 5 years of accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Strong experience with month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations (including AR/AP).
- Experience overseeing or supporting AP and AR functions.
- Familiarity with inventory valuation and reconciliation.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and ERP systems (A2000 a plus).
- Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis).
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and solutions-driven.
- Experience in wholesale, distribution, or retail is a plus.
