Product Manager

The Product Management team works across business and technology at BAM to deliver the next generation of technology and tools. Our team is responsible for the full product lifecycle, from sourcing idea, user research, solution design, specifications, and adoption metrics.

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to help us expand our Middle Office and Operations technology and deliver consistently high-quality technical solutions that support all asset classes and investment verticals at BAM.

The Product Manager will collaborate across Investment, Middle Office, Operations, Accounting, Treasury, and Technology teams to meet the current and future needs of BAM. The ideal candidate has a passion for solving business problems with technology, high acumen and interest in analytical problem-solving, the ability to effectively translate across business and technical stakeholders and is genuinely curious about the intersection of finance and technology.

Responsibilities:

• The Product Manager will, among other things:
• Source new product ideas from end users and their own depth of experience
• Innovate creative and efficient ways to solve problems
• Research, design, and prototype new features, applications, and processes across Middle Office and Operations
• Develop relationships across investment, business and technology teams to understand gaps, needs and opportunities and help creative innovative solutions
• Roadmap our products and prioritize the simultaneous development of large, strategic initiatives alongside tactical projects and product enhancements
• Collaborate with engineering teams to evolve product designs and clarify requirements
• Ensure the quality and accuracy of all products released
• Work with users to integrate new technology solutions and ensure user adoption
• Engage with support teams to ensure our users have a seamless experience
• Introduce our tools to new members of the business and provide coaching on how best to leverage all the tech we provide

Qualifications & Requirements:

• 4 years of experience in finance or financial technology
• Deep knowledge of front to back trade life cycle
• A track record of delivering innovative solutions in the Middle Office and Operations domain at a Hedge Fund, Asset Manager, Investment Bank, or Financial Technology provider
• Strong ability to build relationships with sophisticated end users, development teams, and other key stakeholders
• A passion for technology and how it can be applied to solve business problems of all sizes
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies

Bonus Points For:

• Familiarity with analytical programming languages such as SQL, Python, or R
