JOB TITLE: Bartender DEPARTMENT: Food & Beverage
REPORTS TO: Wine & Beverage Director WAGE CLASS: Full Time/Part Time
Position Summary: Under the direction of the Wine & Beverage Director, bartenders are responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service. Bartenders are expected to be attentive to our members’ needs immediately upon their arrival. You’ll work closely with our team in a collaborative environment to serve in the Club’s bar areas for ala carte dining, banquets, and events.

Essential Functions:
- Greet and serve members and guests promptly and courteously
- Responsible for mixing and serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for members & guests of bar and dining room.
- Make suggestions based on members’ tastes and preferences.
- Open and maintain check throughout shift as needed.
- Charging correct beverages to the correct member account.
- Build a rapport with all members to create a positive atmosphere.
- Work in collaboration with other bar staff to maintain bar area cleanliness.
- Maintain club standards consistently.
- Arrange glasses and bottles to maintain an attractive display.
- Polish glassware daily.
- Be aware when to stop serving alcohol to ensure members & guests are safe.
- Operate the POS system for member billing; process transactions accurately and complete daily closeout procedures
- Stock beverages and snacks according to established par levels; rotate products to ensure freshness
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of halfway house, storage, and service areas
- Follow all alcohol service laws and club policies regarding ID verification and responsible service
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager
- Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages according to state law
- Friendly, professional demeanor with strong member-service orientation
- Dependable and adaptable in a fast-paced, seasonal environment
- Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergencies
- Commitment to maintaining cleanliness, organization, and adherence to health/safety standards
Intellectual Demands:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior food and beverage or customer service experience desirable
- Experience operating a POS system preferred
Licenses and Special Requirements
- Of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- ServSafe or similar food safety certification preferred
Physical and Environment Demands:
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and able to lift or carry up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
- Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching
- Noise level is generally moderate but may be high during busy events or outings

Pay: $22.00 – $24.00 per hour (The listed hourly wage reflects our no-tipping policy)
