Connexions: A Community Based Arts School is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Middle/High School Spanish Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about language instruction, committed to fostering a positive learning environment, and skilled in supporting students at varying levels of Spanish proficiency. This role includes developing engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and contributing to the overall academic success and culture of the school.Key Responsibilities:Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Spanish instruction for middle and/or high school students.Create a culturally rich, student-centered classroom environment that encourages curiosity and engagement.Develop and implement standards-aligned lesson plans and instructional materials.Assess student performance through a variety of methods and provide timely, constructive feedback.Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents/guardians as needed.Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to enhance curriculum and support student success.Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, and school events.Uphold school policies, expectations, and a positive school culture.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, World Languages, Education, or a related field required.Valid teaching certification/license in Spanish (or ability to obtain certification).Prior experience teaching middle or high school students preferred.Strong interpersonal, communication, and classroom-management skills.Ability to create inclusive, respectful, and culturally responsive learning environments.Benefits:Salary of $60,00010-month Access to professional development opportunitiesSupportive school community and leadership teamHow to Apply: Submit resume to ibarnes@btnetwork.org
