The Opportunity
CPR is seeking a VISTA Grant Writer to strengthen the organizationโs fundraising and resource development capacity during a period of rapid growth.
This role is designed to build sustainable systems that support long-term funding, helping CPR maximize its expansion and deepen its impact across Maryland communities. The VISTA member will collaborate with staff, leadership, and external stakeholders to develop strategic funding approaches and enhance organizational capacity.
What Youโll Do
Through this position, you will help CPR:
๐ High school diploma or GED (required)
๐ Bachelorโs degree in Public Health, Communications, or a related field (strongly preferred)
๐ English proficiency required

๐ Writing and editing proficiency (grant writing experience a plus)

What Youโll Do
- Research and identify potential funding sources, including foundations, grants, and charitable contributions
- Develop, write, edit, and submit grant proposals and funding applications (including NOFOs)
- Support the creation of a comprehensive fundraising plan with clear goals and objectives
- Collaborate with program staff, leadership, and board members to gather information and align funding strategies
- Help coordinate partnerships with external stakeholders and behavioral health providers
- Assist in developing strategies to diversify and strengthen CPRโs revenue streams

- Establish sustainable fundraising systems and processes
- Increase access to charitable funding and grant opportunities
