| positive interactions with teens. | |
| Circulates through all public | |
| areas of the library to promote | |
| customer engagement encounters | |
| that foster a welcoming and | |
| inclusive experience. | |

| - Focuses primarily on teenage | |
| customers inside the lib ary | |
| and on library property | |
| through: | |
| | |
| a. Engaging in and cultivating | |
| positive interactions; | |
| b. Developing rapport to | |
| establish an enjoyable | |
| environment based on respect and | |
| responsible use of the library; | |
| c. Providing support, guidance | |
| and exposure to resources | |
| available within the library and | |
| community; | |
| d. Managing challenging | |
| interactions using appropriate | |
| tactics, including de-escalation | |
| and issuing short-terms bans; | |
| and | |
| e. Educating and providing basic | |
| information regarding library | |
| rules, organization, locations, | |
| services and facilities; | |
| | |
| - Assists with programs and | |
| outreach events for teens | |
| based on operational needs of | |
| location, from individual to | |
| group instruction | |
| - Understands and enforces | |
| branch and system policies | |
| and procedures related to | |

| - Documents security situations | |
