DIRECTOR OF CATERING AND EVENTS OPPORTUNITY AT BALTIMORE COUNTRY CLUB
Baltimore Country Club seeks a driven, people-centered, and highly intuitive leader to serve as its next Director of Catering and Events. As a key member of the Club’s leadership team, this individual will bring a “boots-on-the-ground” mindset and a genuine passion for hospitality—someone who wakes up each day eager to create extraordinary experiences for members and to support a team that thrives in a high-volume, high-energy environment. More than an event expert, the ideal candidate is a thoughtful motivator and an adaptive communicator who understands that every team member is unique, with different strengths, needs, and aspirations. This person will know how to inspire, challenge, listen, and celebrate—striking the right balance between autonomy and accountability.
With strong financial acumen and a deep understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and departmental performance, the Director of Catering and Events will pair operational precision with creativity and fun. Flexible and composed, this leader will “roll with the punches,” navigate the unexpected with poise, and foster a culture where brainstorming, new ideas, and fresh perspectives are not only welcomed but encouraged. While the department is already high-performing and bonded under a well-loved predecessor, the next Director will inherit a strong foundation—and be expected to honor that legacy while confidently making the role their own.
Respected for their emotional intelligence, curiosity, and situational judgment, the successful candidate will know when, where, and how to give feedback and will celebrate team wins in ways that feel authentic and meaningful. They will model high standards without micromanaging; uplift the team while holding them accountable; and approach each day with a sincere commitment to service, hospitality, and the people who deliver it.
