Global Applications Manager- Data Center

POSITION PURPOSE

Application Engineering is a critical role at BAC, leveraging BAC technologies and actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process. In the demanding data center environment, the ability to understand customer needs and provide quick technical responses that create customer value is an important differentiator.  Working in conjunction with the sales team and Global Technical Director of High Growth Verticals, the Global Applications Manager - Data Center must be able to identify and provide reliable solutions for all technical issues to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the Data Center sales process. They are responsible for increasing sales and market share through intimate product and application knowledge, product application demonstrations, and training seminars for key customers. The Global Applications Manager - Data Center must establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle with customers and cross-functionally within BAC to add value to our customers through technology.  They must be able to understand customer needs and creatively apply BAC product and application knowledge to meet those needs.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Be the credible technical source for BAC technical solutions for Data Center customers.
• Present technical educational sessions to data center engineering staff and other stakeholders, including design consultants and/or contractors.
• Communicate with the Global Vertical Leader - Data Center Solutions and Key Account Managers to develop and execute account engagement plans.
• In conjunction with the Global Technical Director – High Growth Verticals, build a team of Application Engineers to support increasing the sales funnel.
• Ensure that Application Engineers spend their time assisting in bringing BAC Solutions to high-potential end-user accounts.
• Support customer service, distribution, and other departments in their efforts to respond to the business needs of customers. 
• Be a technical expert in data center cooling solutions, presenting at relevant trade shows and in front of key customers.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

• Four Year Bachelor's Degree in engineering or sciences, advanced degree or PE credential, a plus
• Minimum 6 years experience in technical applications of HVAC or Industrial Equipment
• Advanced knowledge of data center site and process design
• Strong communication skills, including written, oral, and public speaking roles
• Leadership and influencing skills
• Experience building and developing teams, building credibility with customers
• Demonstrated time management skills, ability to set priorities 
• Strong sense of urgency and passion to solve problems for customers
• Comfortable in being the point person whom others view as a subject matter authority
• Demonstrated sound time management skills, ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and stay organized
• Must have strong Microsoft Office Suite experience (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and collaboration tool experience (Teams, Zoom, Mural, Miro, etc.)

• Foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork locally, regionally, and internationally
• PC literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Bachelors or better in Engineering.

BAC Hiring Compensation Range $124,500- $213,300
