Upon completion of the announced merger with The Queen Casino & Entertainment Inc. (“Queen”), the above portfolio is expected to be supplemented with four additional casinos across three states, one of which will be an additional state that expands Bally’s jurisdiction of operations to include the state of Iowa. Queen will also add over 900 employees, and operations that currently include approximately 2,400 slot machines, 50 table games, and 150 hotel rooms to the Bally’s portfolio. Bally’s will also become the successor of Queen’s significant economic stake in a global lottery management and services business through its investment in Intralot S.A. (ATSE: INLOT).
The Role:
Staff Accountants are responsible for executing a variety of financial procedures, including month-end and year-end closings, accounts payable and receivable, tax returns, bank reconciliations, general ledger entries, forecasting and budgeting. By focusing on your goals and responsibilities, while striving for improvement, you make the difference.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares information for periodic entries to journals.
- Assists in adjusting and closing the general ledger monthly.
- Prepares accounts analysis, bank reconciliations and other reports as needed.
- Conducts quantitative analyses of Non-Gaming/Gaming operating data with the objective of evaluating results, identifying problem areas, maintaining quantitative controls, and recommending possible profit opportunities.
- Prepares documentation for external auditors.
- Reviews financial statements for accuracy and legal compliance
- Other Duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to read and analyze financial reports
- Strong understanding of US tax regulations
