About the Role
We're looking for a Talent Manager who thrives at the intersection of relationships, logistics, and live production - equally comfortable having negotiating with an agent at 9am and managing a hectic matchday floor at 9pm. You're organised, calm under pressure, and people genuinely enjoy working with you.
As the face of Baller League for talent in your market, you'll build trusted, day-to-day relationships with managers, agents, and players - managing expectations, resolving issues before they escalate, and making sure everyone feels informed throughout the season. Behind the scenes, you'll own the operational backbone that keeps everything tracked and moving so talent can focus on performing. On matchday, you're on the floor, making real-time decisions, and making sure the show runs exactly as planned.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Relations & Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for talent across all touchpoints
- Own mid-tier issue resolution, escalating to senior leadership where needed
- Liaise with agents and coaches to ensure aligned expectations and smooth collaboration
- Develop and manage the seasonal communication plan with talent — from onboarding through to the final matchday
Operations & Logistics
- Manage end-to-end logistics: travel, accommodation, ticketing, accreditation, and VIP arrangements
- Track and coordinate talent availability for media days, appearances, sponsor commitments, and other obligations
- Handle administrative coordination across all talent-related activities with precision and care
- Work closely with the sports and marketing departments to design and finalise the matchday schedule ahead of each season
Live Production & Matchday
- Lead matchday floor management and talent scheduling for live production
- Provide editorial support for the live show, working alongside the production team
- Be a calm, reliable presence when things move fast and plans change
Reporting & Budget
- Track and report on talent deliverables and contractual obligations
- Manage the local market talent budget, flagging risks and opportunities as they arise
What We're Looking For
- 3–5 years in talent management, artist relations, sports management, or a similar relationship-driven role
- Experience working in live events, live television, or entertainment production is a strong advantage
- Proven ability to manage relationships with talent, agents, or high-profile stakeholders
- Background in budget management and operational coordination
- Exceptional relationship-builder - you earn trust quickly and maintain it
- Strong communicator, both written and verbal, across all levels of seniority
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously
- Calm and decisive under pressure, particularly in live or fast-moving environments
- Commercially aware and comfortable working across creative, sports, and production teams
- Proactive and solutions-oriented - you spot problems before they become problems
- Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive matters
Nice to have:
- Existing relationships within football, entertainment, or agency world in this market
- Experience with live production scheduling or floor management
- Fluency in additional languages relevant to the local market
