The Temporary IT Support Coordinator provides administrative and technical support to the IT department during a period of increased workload or project implementation. This position is responsible for coordinating help desk activities, tracking service tickets, communicating with end users, and assisting with equipment setup, deployment, and inventory. The role ensures that IT operations run efficiently and that employees receive timely support for their technology needs.
This position would be ideal for a last year college student looking to gain additional experience within the Information Technology space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for incoming IT requests via phone, email, or ticketing system.
- Create, track, and prioritize IT service tickets; follow up with users and escalate issues as needed.
- Coordinate scheduling for IT support technicians and external vendors when applicable.
- Assist with hardware deployment, imaging, and setup of computers, monitors, printers, and peripherals.
- Maintain and update IT asset and inventory records (laptops, mobile devices, network equipment).
- Support onboarding and offboarding activities, including account setup and equipment collection.
- Help communicate system updates, outages, and changes to the user community.
- Provide basic troubleshooting support under the guidance of IT staff.
- Assist with documentation, reporting, and other administrative tasks related to IT operations.

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.
- 0–1 year of experience in IT support, help desk, or administrative coordination role preferred.

- Calendar and scheduling software – Microsoft Outlook, Kronos
- Microsoft Excel: Expert in analytics, data management, pivot tables, formulas, etc
- Electronic mail software - Microsoft Exchange; Microsoft Outlook
- Office suite software – Teams, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Word, Google Suite, Microsoft List, Microsoft Planner
- Video conferencing software – Microsoft Teams
Work Environment & Schedule:
- Temporary position expected to last 3 months
- Full-time schedule, Monday–Friday.
- Sedentary work under a hybrid schedule.
- Ability to work extended hours as needed.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
