Maintenance Technician (Night Shift)

These positions operate on a 12-hour shift, 2-2-3, rotation (7pm-7am). Night shift earns a shift differential of $2.00/hr. Hours worked on a weekend earn a differential of $1.50/hr for Saturdays and Sundays in addition to base hourly rate.

$2,500 signing bonus payable at 6- and 12-months of continuous employment.

Summary

The Maintenance Technician role is responsible for the general upkeep of the Balcan USA facility, repairing any problems as they are discovered before they create significant unplanned downtime. Maintenance Technicians are required to perform a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to: route-based inspections, repairs of defective equipment, fabrication, troubleshooting equipment issues, troubleshooting process issues, and detailed observations of systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Maintains a safe and clean work environment and complies with policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.

· Uses CMMS (Interal) to record maintenance work, track time, use parts from inventory, and view historical maintenance records.

· Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment

· Executes and helps to create/modify the preventive maintenance plan

· Troubleshoots and locates sources of problems by observing equipment and systems in operation.

· Dismantles machinery, replaces defective parts, and reassembles machinery.

· Determines changes in requirements of parts by observing, inspecting, and measuring with various instruments.

· Maintains inventories of equipment parts and supplies by checking stock and submitting requisitions.

· Trains production workers on routine preventive maintenance.

· Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.

Education and /or Experience

· High School Diploma is required, while an Associate's Degree in a technical field or related discipline.

· 3-5 years of experience in an Industrial Manufacturing environment

· Proficient in reading drawings, diagrams, and schematics

· Familiar with Industry Safety Standards

· Familiar with Programming Logic Controllers (e.g., Allen-Bradley, B&R, Siemens)

· Desired - experience with extrusion (blown film), printing (flexographic), and plastic sheet converting.

· Experience supporting a 24/7 manufacturing facility

· Understands lean manufacturing principles

· Ability to establish a positive relationship with all levels of the organization

· Dynamic and quick to respond to an ever-changing environment
