W2 EMPLOYEE EMDR PSYCHOTHERAPIST POSITION
Balanced Mind is a woman-owned private psychotherapy group practice specializing in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and other evidence-based therapies. Our client base is private pay. We are seeking to engage a PhD/PsyD/LCSW certified in EMDR Basic Training who can provide exemplary trauma therapy service at our Downtown Brooklyn office.

THIS CONTRACTOR POSITION IS FOR
-PhDs/PsyDs/LCSWs who wish to refine their EMDR skillset in and gain EMDR clients
-PhDs/PsyDs/LCSWs who want to focus on delivering therapy instead of managing the ins and outs of their private practice.
-PhDs/PsyDs/LCSWs who are interested in advancing their clinical skills in CBT, DBT, EMDR, & Schema.
-PhDs/PsyDs/LCSWs who want to work in a collaborative group practice environment
-Full case load position: Provides psychotherapy services to a caseload 25-35 clients, including individuals, couples, and if applicable families/collateral figures (Full time is considered 25 completed sessions per week)
-Maintains case notes, treatment plans, and other required documentation
QUALIFICATIONS
-Possess a PhD, PsyD, & LCSW and be licensed to practice in New York State
-Completed at minimum EMDR Basic Training at an EMDRIA-accredited training institute
-Willing to commit to a full-time caseload in-person at the Downtown Brooklyn office
-Self-reflective, ambitious, curious, and willing to actively look at internal biases and countertransference
-At least two years of experience in assessment, treatment planning, and providing psychotherapy
-At least one year of experience in providing individual, couples, multiple partner relationships and/or family therapy
-Excellent written and spoken communication skills
-Feel comfortable networking, marketing, and developing your own practice
-Highly responsive to email and text communication
-Organized and able to submit clinical notes in a timely manner
