QMHP–Mobile Crisis Response-Weekday Shift-M-F: 11AM-7PM or 3PM-7PM

Pay: $46.00 per hour

Job description:

Balanced Behavioral Health, LLC is actively seeking dedicated and qualified Qualified Mental Health Professionals (QMHPs) to join our Mobile Crisis Response team. This role provides intensive, short-term mental health services to adults, adolescents, and children experiencing acute psychiatric crises in the community.

Minimum Requirements

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Completion of DBHDS-approved Mobile Crisis Response Training (certificate required)
• Active QMHP registration with the Virginia Board of Counseling
• Ability to work one of the following shifts: Monday-Friday: 11AM-7PM or Monday-Friday: 3PM-7PM
• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable transportation
• Active and valid auto insurance
• Ability to successfully pass a background check

Position Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Responding to mobile crisis dispatch requests within the community
• Demonstrating knowledge of serious mental illness in adults, adolescents, and children
• Assessing acute mental health crises and completing safety planning
• Maintaining strong clinical and professional boundaries
• Providing individualized, outcome-focused care
• Coordinating with service providers, insurance companies, and family members to promote stabilization and reduce risk of hospitalization
• Strong clinical writing and documentation skills
• Completing all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner
• Demonstrating strong verbal and written communication skills
• Participating in clinical supervision and staff meetings as required

Education and Experience Requirements

Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

• Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, substance abuse, or marriage and family therapy from an accredited college or university

OR

• Bachelor’s degree in a human services or related field from an accredited college or university

OR

• Bachelor’s degree in an unrelated field from an accredited college or university plus:
• 15 semester credits or
• 22 quarter hours in a human services field
