Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to warehouse tasks.
Duties
- Receive incoming shipments, verify quantities against purchase orders, and accurately record data using inventory management software and RF scanners.
- Pick and pack customer orders efficiently, ensuring accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and other warehouse equipment safely for loading, unloading, and stock movement.
- Maintain organized storage areas by stocking shelves systematically and ensuring proper placement of goods.
- Prepare shipments for dispatch by packaging products securely and coordinating with shipping carriers for timely delivery.
- Conduct regular inventory counts, reconcile stock levels within ERP systems such as AS400 or MRP software, and update records accordingly.
- Assist with order picking, packing, shipping logistics, and trade compliance procedures to meet international trade regulations.
- Support warehouse distribution activities by coordinating with logistics teams to optimize load & unload operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and warehouse policies to promote a secure working environment.
- Perform data entry tasks related to inventory updates, order processing, and shipping documentation using Microsoft Office tools.
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse operations or related roles with familiarity in warehouse management systems and inventory management software.
- Strong understanding of shipping & receiving procedures, order fulfillment processes, and logistics coordination.
- Ability to operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners safely following safety standards.
- Basic math skills necessary for counting inventory, measuring packages, and verifying quantities.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry and stock management.
- Knowledge of international trade regulations and trade compliance requirements is a plus.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members across various departments including customer service.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
