Balance Technology Inc. (BTI) - a leading manufacturer of precision measurement and testing equipment - is seeking a Software Control Engineer to develop software that directly interfaces with PLCs, sensors, and precision balancing machinery. This is not a typical desk or app-development role. You will build PC-based applications that communicate with industrial devices on the factory floor, where your work will have a direct impact on machine performance and product quality.

What You’ll Do
- Design, implement, and document real-time measurement and control software for automated equipment.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer hardware, peripherals, and measurement sensors.
- Ensure all systems meet customer requirements and BTI quality standards.
- Lead machine power-ups at BTI or customer sites, guiding technicians and machine builders through debugging, setup, and qualification.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field, or six years of relevant experience and/or training.
- Skilled in developing software using C#, Visual Basic, C , or similar languages.
- Familiar with pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
- Familiar with PLC- and PC-based control systems, including motion control.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of solving complex problems under tight deadlines.
- Flexible and willing to travel up to 10% to support our clients and projects.
