Job Title: Receiving Inspector

Type of Role: Temp to Hire

Shift / Hours: 1st shift

Location: Manchester, NH

Hourly Range: 18 DOE

What You'll Do

?        Inspect incoming raw materials, raw printed circuit boards (PCBs), electronic components, hardware, and mechanical sub-assemblies to verify compliance against engineering drawings, datasheets, purchase orders, and BOMs (Bill of Materials).

?        Perform visual and dimensional inspection on receiving shipments using precision tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, pin gauges, and optical comparators or microscopes.

?        Verify component packaging, labeling, part numbers, quantities, and date/lot codes to prevent non-conforming or counterfeit components from entering production.

?        Sample incoming lots according to established ANSI/ASQ sampling plans (AQL) and internal Quality Assurance procedures.

?        Identify, document, and segregate non-conforming receiving materials; initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and collaborate with Quality Engineering and Purchasing for material disposition and Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR).

?        Review and verify supplier documentation, including Certificates of Analysis (CoA), Certificates of Conformance (CoC), test reports, and compliance documentation (RoHS/REACH).

?        Maintain complete inspection logs, update ERP/quality management system databases, and sign off on receiving inspection records for full traceability.

What You'll Bring

?        Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

?        Experience: 1–3 years of experience in incoming quality inspection, quality control, or receiving inspection within an electronics manufacturing or PCBA environment.

?        Strong technical reading skills with the ability to interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, component specifications, and customer requirements.

?        Proficiency using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, optical instruments) and basic electronic test equipment (multimeters).

?        Familiarity with industry quality standards such as IPC-A-610, IPC-A-600, J-STD-001, or MIL-STD sampling procedures.

?        Strict adherence to Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) handling protocols and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention.

?        Excellent visual acuity, including color vision and depth perception.

How to Stand Out

?        Active technical or quality certifications, such as ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or IPC certifications (e.g., IPC-A-610, IPC-A-600, or J-STD-001).

?        Direct experience with counterfeit component detection methodologies and IDEA/AS6081 incoming inspection standards for electronic components.

?        Proficiency with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (such as SAP or Oracle) and Quality Management System software for incoming material disposition.
