We are seeking a detail-oriented and mechanically skilled Production Technician to join our manufacturing team in Fremont Ca, Area.Location: Fremont, CA 94538Pay Range: $24.00 – $29.50/hrEmployment Type: Full-Time | On-SiteShifts: M-F 1st shift 6 am to 2:30 pmPosition SummaryThe Production Technician is responsible for supporting hands-on manufacturing operations involving machining, material handling, and powder processing. This role requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to follow technical instructions with precision and consistency.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Production Technician to support a variety of shop operations including machining, material handling, and general production tasks. This role requires strong work discipline, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to follow detailed procedures with accuracy.The technician will be responsible for multiple job duties. One of the main activities will be machining ceramic-like parts. The technician will be trained for each specific process. These processes require the use of sanding, grinding, milling, sawing, and measuring tools to produce ZnTe parts per customer requirements.The technician will also be trained in powder handling and loading powder into elastomeric tooling for processing into semi-densified parts.Under the supervision of the Production Lead and following in-house work instructions, each technician is responsible for performing the specific process(es) for which they have received training.Although these are the primary duties of the position, there will be times when the technician is needed in other areas of the shop to assist with additional projects. The duties of the technician are not exclusively limited to the ZnTe area.QualificationsPrior hands-on shop or manufacturing experience required; machining experience strongly preferred.Materials handling or powder handling experience preferred.Technical degree, trade school, or equivalent practical experience is a plus.Strong attention to detail, safety focus, and consistent work discipline.Ability to learn and follow technical processes and instructions.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Balance Staffing is proud to be an equal-opportunity workplace.
