Accounts Payable Specialist

About the RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in AP processes, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage a high-volume workload with accuracy and efficiency. This role is essential in maintaining smooth financial operations and supporting vendor relationships. Location: Lathrop, CAPay Rate: $25hr.-$27hr. Employment Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-HireKey ResponsibilitiesOpen incoming mail and scan invoices into the AP portal (KTM).Process invoices (KTM) as needed and review/handle Manual Check Requests (urgent, refund, tax payments).Contact new vendors to obtain W9s and submit documentation to the DOH department for supplier setup.Prepare FedEx envelopes for overnight check deliveries.Manage the AP mailbox: respond to vendor inquiries and take appropriate action on past-due invoices.Process credit applications and maintain accurate vendor records.Reconcile vendor accounts by reviewing monthly statements and resolving transaction discrepancies.Perform general AP administrative tasks and support the department as needed.Position Requirements2–3 years of Accounts Payable experience (required).Strong foundational AP knowledge, including invoice processing and reconciliation.High attention to accuracy and detail when reviewing invoices and entering financial data.Excellent verbal and written communication skills for vendor and internal team interactions.Strong organizational skills and ability to manage high-volume invoice workloads.Proficiency with Oracle AP, Oracle ERP, and related financial modules.General ERP system experience for tracking expenses, managing invoices, and processing transactions.Problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve discrepancies or payment issues.Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality of financial information.Company DescriptionBalance Staffing is a full-service staffing agency that aims to unite talented and hardworking people with excellent workplaces, while building lasting relationships with our employees and our clients.
