Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Therapist/LCMHC (Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor) to join our dynamic mental health team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact through evidence-based practices in both in person outpatient and telehealth settings.
Duties
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions.
- Implement strategies to support clients experiencing mental health and/or co-occurring disorders.
- Develop personalized treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation within Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations and medical terminology standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for case management, patient assessment, and discharge planning in inpatient or outpatient settings.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Counseling or related field from an accredited institution.
- Valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) or equivalent in the respective state; licensure must be current and unrestricted. Dual LCMHC/LCAS is preferred.
- Proficiency in evidence-based practices.
- Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate diagnosis documentation.
- Experience working in outpatient clinics or hospital settings with knowledge of medical terminology and medical records management.
- Knowledge of clinical documentation standards including treatment planning, medical documentation requirements, and HIPAA compliance.
- Excellent communication skills for client engagement and interdisciplinary collaboration; experience with telehealth platforms is preferred.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism while maintaining a positive attitude that motivates clients toward recovery.
