Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role for an Instructor based in Bellport, NY. The Instructor will lead in-person baking workshops, guide participants through hands-on baking activities, and assist in creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment for all abilities. The role involves preparing materials for classes, explaining step-by-step instructions, and ensuring safety and cleanliness in the kitchen. The Instructor will also help support the mission of Baking Coach by providing training and mentorship to community members.
Qualifications
- Strong baking and teaching skills with experience in delivering hands-on workshops or classes.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with individuals of varying abilities and learning styles.
- Organizational and time management skills for class preparation and on-site responsibilities.
- Knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation procedures, with attention to creating a safe and clean environment.
- Availability for flexible part-time hours, as well as the ability to commute to the kitchen in Bellport, NY.
- Experience engaging children or adults in educational or recreational activities is a plus.
- Passion for baking and an enthusiastic, patient, and inclusive teaching approach.
