The Warehouse Manager oversees all warehouse operations supporting our cookie manufacturing facility, ensuring the efficient, safe, and accurate receipt, storage, and distribution of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods. This role is responsible for inventory control, team leadership, food safety compliance, and seamless coordination with production and logistics to keep cookies flowing fresh and on time.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations

Manage daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of ingredients and finished cookie products

Ensure proper rotation of inventory (FIFO/FEFO) to maintain product freshness and quality

Coordinate closely with production to ensure timely material availability
Inventory Management

Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP tools

Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories; investigate and resolve discrepancies

Monitor stock levels and collaborate with procurement to prevent shortages or overstock
Food Safety & Compliance

Enforce food safety standards including GMPs, HACCP, and sanitation procedures

Ensure warehouse conditions meet regulatory requirements (FDA, OSHA, local health authorities)

Maintain accurate documentation for audits and inspections
Team Leadership

Hire, train, schedule, and supervise warehouse staff and supervisors

Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement

Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and development
Logistics & Distribution

Coordinate outbound shipments with carriers to meet customer delivery requirements

Optimize warehouse layout and workflows to improve efficiency and reduce costs

Manage loading/unloading processes and ensure proper handling of goods
Safety & Equipment

Ensure safe operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment

Oversee maintenance and cleanliness of warehouse facilities

Lead safety meetings and incident investigations

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience)

3–5 years of warehouse management experience, preferably in food or consumer packaged goods manufacturing

Strong knowledge of inventory control, WMS/ERP systems, and warehouse best practices

Familiarity with food safety regulations and audit processes
