As part of our Credits & Incentives team, you will work with clients across a variety of industries toidentifyand maximize federal and state tax incentives while delivering innovative, data-driven solutions that create value.
What you will do- Research & Development Tax:
Participate in the preparation oftax credit studies, whichincludestraveling to client locations,participatingin client interviews, analyzing, and organizing client data, developing client- and industry-specific tools and templates, and drafting technical reports
Research and draft technical memoranda related to R&D tax credit matters
Develop industryexpertiseto help the R&D Team deliver more proactive and targetedR&D strategies to clients and prospects
What you will do - Cost Segregation:
Participate in project planning,assistin completing estimates of real andpersonal property, attend site visits,identifyand quantify qualifying assetsutilizingconstruction cost estimation tools, and prepare supporting work paper documentation
Participate in the preparation of cost segregation studies, conduct technical research, and provide tax credit and incentive consultingassistance
Research and draft technical memoranda related to fixed asset matters, including Section 179D
Develop industryexpertiseto help the Fixed Asset Team deliver more proactive and targeted fixed asset strategies to clients and prospects, including direct interaction with clients
Utilize analytical understanding of construction, fixed assets, engineering, & valuation fundamentals to drive client value
What you will do - Tax Credit Advisory
Assistclientsin the process ofidentifying, qualifying for, and maximizing federal, state, and local tax credits and incentives to reduce overall tax liability and improve cash flow
Work with businesses across a variety of industries to evaluate eligibility, document and support credit claims, ensure compliance with tax regulations, and integrate tax credit strategies into broader tax planning and businessobjectives.
Qualifications
Successful candidates will have:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, Business, ora relatedfield.
Outstanding academic performance required, with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or above
For Tax Credit Advisory, JD/LLM preferred
Passion for developing creative, data-driven solutions to complex analytical and tax challenges.
Willingness to travel to client locations and various Baker Tilly office locations.
Relevant internship, workexperienceand/or involvement with a professional organization
The abilityto work effectively in a team environment with all levels of client personnel
Demonstrated skills in the areas of time management, communication, interpersonal skills, relationship building, collaboration, and problem solving
Organizational and analytical skills, initiative, adaptability
Proficiencywith Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

The pay rate ranges for this position are listed below. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of relevant factors including but not limited to applicant's skills, prior experience, qualifications, degrees, professional certifications, work arrangements and geographic location. Baker Tilly offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package to eligible employees.
In Seattle: pay rate range is $80,500 to $110,610
In California: pay rate range is $78,000 to $115,220
The national pay rate range is $63,200 to $119,820
Salary : $63,200 - $119,820
