The Civic Engagement Program's work encompasses community leadership development and capacity building and voter engagement.
The Civic Engagement Intern supports the BakerRipley Civic Engagement Team in all aspects of its work. There are two parts to its program: community leadership training and development and voter engagement. The Intern will take part in supporting the wide range of activities and events that take place in each of these two parts. Specific duties include observing and evaluating the community leadership training course, registering voters, block walking, phone banking, and text banking to encourage people to vote, and inputting, tracking, and analyzing data.
Job Duties:
- Enter and track program data.
- Assist with data analysis and research.
- Participate in, observe, evaluate, and co-facilitate the Community Engineers Leadership Training.
- Attend Civic Engagement Team meetings.
- Attend and co-facilitate community meetings.
- Support and participate in voter engagement and Get Out The Vote activities and events.
- Support program outreach activities.
- Support administrative functions of the program.
