The Columbus office of BakerHostetler is seeking an immigration associate with 1-4 years of relevant experience to join its Labor and Employment Group and focus on employment-based immigration. The candidate will prepare nonimmigrant and immigrant visa petitions and will advise on long-term goals and challenges facing our clients and their global workforce. A strong interest and background in employment-based immigration is important.

Qualifications Include
- Experience in employment-based immigration law, including but not limited to obtaining temporary work visas for foreign nationals, securing lawful permanent residence (green cards), and helping clients understand the increasingly complex I-9 and E-Verify employment verifications rules
- Experience preparing H-1B, L-1A, L-1B, E-2, TN, and O-1 petitions and preparing applications for permanent residence (including PERM, I-140, and I-485)
- A strong academic record, having earned a J.D. from a nationally recognized and accredited school
- Must be admitted to practice law in the state of Ohio
- Exceptional project management skills
- Effective and persuasive writing and oral communication skills
- Ability to manage a fast-paced, complex workload while maintaining priorities and anticipating issues
- The professional commitment and interpersonal skills necessary to succeed in a collaborative team environment
