Associate – Commercial Litigation

BakerHostetler is seeking a mid-to-senior level associate to join its Litigation Group. The candidate would work with our regional and national clients in connection with complex commercial litigation including matters involving healthcare and media and First Amendment issues.

Qualifications Include

• 4 years of experience in complex commercial litigation
• Experience working with expert witnesses, fact development, taking and defending depositions, and drafting discovery responses, briefs, and motions for complex matters
• Trial experience is a plus
• Clerkship experience is strongly preferred
• A strong academic record, having earned a J.D. from a nationally recognized and accredited school
• Must be admitted to practice in Georgia or waive admission to the Georgia Bar
• Ideal candidates will have demonstrated the following attributes:
  
  

oExceptional project management skills

oEffective and persuasive writing and oral communication skills; law review or other comparable experience indicating significant research and writing skills a plus

oAbility to manage a fast-paced, complex workload while maintaining priorities and anticipating issues

oThe professional commitment and interpersonal skills necessary to succeed in a collaborative team environment and exercise good judgment in client service
