Baker Lumber Inc. is a family-owned hardwood lumberyard serving cabinet shops, furniture makers, contractors, woodworkers, and homeowners throughout New England. We are looking for a dependable, hardworking Mill Shop Associate to join our growing production team.

What You'll Do
As a Mill Shop Associate, you'll help transform rough hardwood and softwood lumber into finished products our customers use every day.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Surface rough hardwood lumber using industrial planers and other milling equipment
- Produce custom moldings, flooring, paneling, shiplap, trim, and specialty millwork
- Set up and safely operate woodworking equipment
- Inspect lumber for quality before and after machining
- Read work orders and prepare customer orders accurately
- Package completed orders for pickup or delivery
- Keep the mill shop clean, organized, and operating efficiently
- Occasionally assist with loading customer orders
- Work alongside an experienced team to produce high-quality wood products

Preferred Experience
Any experience in the following is a plus:
- Woodworking
- Cabinet making
- Carpentry
- Lumber or building materials
- Millwork
- Hardwood lumber
- Woodworking machinery
- Forklift operation
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 75 pounds regularly
- Stand for extended periods
- Work safely around industrial woodworking machinery
- Work in a production shop environment
