Morning Baker

Job Summary
Join our vibrant bakery team as a Morning Baker! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for preparing fresh baked goods early each day while maintaining the high standards of quality, food safety, cleanliness, and presentation. Your enthusiasm and skills will help create a warm, inviting experience for our customers and set the tone for a successful day.

Responsibilities

• Work cleanly, efficiently, and with strong attention to detail.
• Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods according to daily production needs.
• Ensure products meet quality and presentation standards.
• Organize baked items efficiently for delivery.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery workspace in compliance with food safety regulations.
• Assist with food preparation tasks such as measuring ingredients, mixing, and assembling baked goods.
• Follow proper food handling procedures, including safe storage, rotation, and disposal of perishable items.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and maintain smooth kitchen operations.
• Opportunities may be available to cross train with the dough production team, including assisting with croissant dough, laminated pastries, and other pastry preparation as skills develop.

Qualifications

• Pastry or baking experience preferred; familiarity with food preparation and food handling is a plus.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to work efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standards consistently.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen hygiene practices.
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift 50lb flours and heavy trays
• Must have reliable personal transportation, as shifts may begin as early as 3:30 AM when public transportation is unavailable.
