Machine Operator responsible for ensuring the precise mix and development of dough, resulting in top-notch finished products. Role & Responsibilities
Collaborate with the previous mixer operator at the beginning of the shift to discuss the doughs currently being mixed.
Scale ingredients one dough at a time using small scoops, accommodating up to 5 lbs. of ingredients per scoop.
Load 50 lbs. bags and 60 lbs. buckets of ingredients into the mixer, with assistance load up to 100 lbs. buckets of reclaim dough.
Scale ingredients for the next dough according to the dough schedule.
Use mixer controls to smoothly transfer the dough into the dough trough.
Communicate any issues promptly to the appropriate Supervisor or Manager.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Production Superintendent and Supervisor.
Safety
Maintain a safe working environment for all employees/contractors.
Promote safety in all areas of operations.
Sanitation
Ensure cleanliness of the work area.
Always follow proper Good Manufacturing Practices (G.M.P.'s).
Requirements & Physical Demands
Basic literacy skills, able to read and comprehend instructions, signage, warnings, etc.
General knowledge of machinery operations.
Good hand/eye coordination.
Ability to count and perform basic math.
Reading and writing proficiency.
Capability to keep up with machine speed through repetitive motion.
Able to lift to 60 pounds without assistance, up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
Able to stand for 10-12 hours per day.
Physically capable of moving to all areas of the plant.
Able to visually assess product adherence to quality control standards.
Familiarity with reading and comprehending production schedules.
Adherence to necessary safety procedures and signs.
Physical Demands
Standing for approximately 90% of the scheduled shift, lifting, bending, and twisting on a regular basis; lifting to 60 lbs. and 100 lbs. occasionally with assistance.
