Role Description
This 1099 contractor position offers a flexible hybrid schedule with remote telehealth sessions and onsite days in our Tazewell, TN office. The therapist will assess clients, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide psychotherapy for children, adolescents, adults, and families depending on their chosen scope. Responsibilities include delivering evidence-based therapy, completing documentation, collaborating with psychiatric and medical providers, and maintaining a compassionate, patient-centered approach.
Qualifications
- Master’s or doctoral degree in a mental health field (Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or Psychiatry, or related discipline)
- Active Tennessee licensure that allows billing to insurance (LPC-MHSP, LCSW, LMFT). LPCs may be considered if eligible for MHSP designation.
- Eligible to bill commercial insurance and/or Medicaid
- Minimum one year of therapy experience preferred; fully licensed new graduates are welcome
- Strong skills in assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions
- Experience in social work or case management, including client advocacy and resource coordination
- Proficiency in providing therapy for individuals, families, or groups across a variety of mental health concerns
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a commitment to patient-centered, empathetic care
- Comfortable delivering care through telehealth platforms and completing insurance-compliant documentation in an EHR
- Ability to maintain high clinical, ethical, and professional standards as an independent contractor
Compensation:
Competitive percentage-based pay structure for 1099 contractors. Final rates are determined based on experience, specialty, and licensure.
