Job Description
The Material Supervisor will be responsible for providing oversight to the material handling team on weekend shift. Schedule consists of 12 hours shift from Friday to Sunday. The normal hours will consist of FRI-SUN 5:00am to 5:30pm each day.
The position will have the following duties and responsibilities:
- Drive safety culture focused on warehousing, shipping/receiving and material handling best practices
- Supervise warehouse personnel and ensure the safe use of power industrial equipment
- Ensure consistent availability of quality materials on-time to support production demands
- Own, track and maintain accurate inventories
- Drive improvement across standard KPI's, material transactions, and material movement
- Establish warehouse practices and protocols to achieve an efficient warehouse
- Set warehouse and team goals in collaboration with executive management and other supervisors
- Provide single POC for shift material escalations, driving adequate hand-off to other shifts, and ensuring exceptions are handled expeditiously.
- Support day-to-day functions of the AKN Materials team to ensure delivery standards are met
- Assist with all projects associated with Warehouse and Storage of materials
- Track and improve the flow of materials; point of receipt, delivery, storage, picking, packing and shipping
- Strong focus on 5s
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Strong background in warehouse procedures, and proper disposal procedures
- Ability to communicate clearly to all levels in the organization
- Forklift certification
- Previous experience in warehouse operations and management
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word and Excel, Outlook) and basic computer skills

- Sense of urgency and critical thinking skills

- Materials/manufacturing experience
HS Diploma: 6 Years experience
AA Degree: 4 Years experience
BA/BS Degree: 2 Years experience
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Experience implementing best practices within DOW or Federal government environments
- Require no supervision – proactive approach to issue identification and resolution
- Experience with Project Management
- Lean, Six Sigma, APICS, CPIM, PMP Certifications
- Oracle experience is a plus
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $60076 - $102130
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
