What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Test Engineer position at BAE Systems?
Job Description
Demonstrated technical ownership of production test on at least one complex program.
Support test technicians with difficult troubleshoot of complex problems.
Provide training, guidance and mentoring to test technicians.
Support Test Engineering Manager in planning necessary production test resources to support contractual commitments including coordinating new purchases and repair and maintenance of existing equipment.
Ensure commitment to our "Total customer satisfaction" quality policy.
Must be self-directed and have the ability to organize workload to develop a plan to maximize efficiency of performing tasks.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are required as the candidate acts as an interface with internal and external customers.
Candidate must have flexible schedule and exceptional work ethic to respond to the challenges of a dynamic environment.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- 2 year technical degree
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work independently as part of a larger team
- Self directed
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- BSEE or similar 4 year technical degree
- Experience working in a production test environment on military flight controls or power electronics
- Experience working with CsGTI, NI TestStand, Labview, Visual Basic or similar test executives and programming languages utilized in the Test Engineering discipline.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $57866 - $98372

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
