Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

BAE Systems is seeking an experienced and energetic Portfolio Engineering Lead (PEL) to help lead our established and rapidly expanding engineering team in the CEMA Business Area Austin Texas location. Our employees work on the world’s most advanced electronics, you’ll be among the brightest minds, working on the aerospace and defense industry’s most difficult problems. We are looking for a PEL who can coordinate and manage the engineering activities and is interested in leadership role in a growing Product Line. The successful candidate will serve as a PEL working as part of the Engineering Leadership team for the Advanced Compact EW Solutions (ACES) Product Line.

ACES is a diverse and growing product line with several advanced technology development programs as well as high-rate production programs with a common mission to protect the warfighter. Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, and at least 12 years of experience in engineering development of complex electronic systems and the transition to manufacturing
• Experience leading diverse multi-disciplinary teams in the solution of complex technical problems
• Project engineering management including organizational design, planning, estimating, design management, and product verification
• Experience in leadership, building internal and external partnerships, growing team members and partnering with the business.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Direct experience supporting Department of Defense Classified Development Programs
• Experience using Design to Cost (DTC) methods; leading to technical solutions that meet affordability and producibility requirements
• Active secret clearance preferred.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $150370 - $255630

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
