Stamping Press Maintenance Technician (Progressive Die & Hydraulics)

Shift: 2nd Shift

You’ll be the go-to expert who keeps our coil-fed metal stamping presses and related equipment performing at their best across two local plants. This role requires dependable self-transport between facilities as you support maintenance needs at both locations.

Step onto the floor, assess the situation quickly, and get critical production assets back online. A typical evening might include:

• Diagnosing issues by listening, observing, and measuring mechanical and hydraulic systems on stamping presses and fabricating machines.
• Disassembling equipment to access fault points; restoring function by replacing worn or misaligned parts in drive mechanisms and hydraulic circuits.
• Realigning and fine-tuning spindles, clutches, and related assemblies to factory specifications.
• Fabricating or repairing components using a lathe, drill press, and grinder.
• Tracing, cutting, threading, and installing air and hydraulic piping to eliminate leaks and failures.
• Bringing machines back to life—starting up, testing, and validating performance after repair.
• Adjusting the motion profile of computer-controlled automation when needed to resolve issues.

• Required: Hands-on experience as a Manufacturing Press & Machine repair professional. Relevant work includes fixing metal stamping presses, weld cells, compressors, and similar industrial assets.
• Deep troubleshooting ability—mechanical and hydraulic.
• Proficiency in metal stamping and forming, especially progressive die operations.
• Comfort working on Minster and Aida stamping presses.
• Reliability in transporting yourself between two plant locations to cover maintenance needs.
