This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems across production lines.
You will work closely with Production, Quality, and Safety teams to minimize downtime, improve equipment performance, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Description
Badia Spices is seeking a skilled Electromechanical Technician to support our production operations by ensuring equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems across production lines.
You will work closely with Production, Quality, and Safety teams to minimize downtime, improve equipment performance, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to production line calls and provide timely technical support
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Perform preventive maintenance (inspections, lubrication, adjustments, part replacement)
- Maintain and support equipment such as conveyors, mixers, fillers, and packaging machines
- Troubleshoot motors, sensors, relays, contactors, and control components
- Assist with line setups, changeovers, and equipment startups
- Read and interpret basic electrical diagrams and mechanical drawings
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and downtime causes in work orders
- Ensure compliance with GMP, food safety standards, and Lockout/Tagout procedures
- Identify and report safety hazards and equipment issues
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Technical certification or Associate’s degree in Electromechanics, Industrial Maintenance, or related field (preferred)
- 2–4 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience (preferred)
- Experience with:
- Production and packaging equipment
- Motors, conveyors, and sensors
- Pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems (motor controls, relays, wiring, PLC I/O)
- Mechanical knowledge (bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, pumps, valves)
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical diagrams
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and teamwork
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and safety
- Experience in food manufacturing or GMP-regulated environment
- Experience with CMMS or maintenance systems
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
