Badger State Staffing is seeking a reliable Warehouse Worker to join our client's growing team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting shipping, receiving, filling orders, and general warehouse tasks. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to maintaining safety standards.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform cycle count inventory on a regular basis
- Unload shipments from trucklines or vendor trucks
- Verify shipment counts against packing slip
- Pull items for orders according to packing slips
- Select packing/shipping method and pack in orderly method
- Prepare invoices and schedule with truckline/carrier
- Operate a sit-down forklift
- Assist with maintaining the facility to include snow removal in the winter months
- Drive to local vendors and customers; load/off-load material from truck safely
- Connect and disconnect trailer from truck and be familiar with all hook-ups; verify all connections are secure and lights are operational before towing trailer
Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Ability to read a ruler and add fractions and whole numbers
- Successfully stand for long periods and lift up to 60 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a non-temperature controlled environment at times
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Must be multi-task oriented, be able to handle high stress levels as well as work at a fast pace
Job Types: Full-time, Temp-to-hire
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
