Badger State Staffing is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to support a full-time contract in Neenah. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and material handling equipment to ensure efficient movement of goods within the warehouse. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations and the ability to work independently to meet production goals.
Primary Duties:
- Operate forklift to load materials onto semi-trailers for shipment
- Utilize RF scanners and warehouse management systems to track inventory and ensure accurate order fulfillment
- Assist in loading and unloading shipments, ensuring proper handling of materials
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and address any operational challenges
- Perform routine inspections on equipment to ensure safe operation and report any maintenance needs
Schedule: Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. This is a contract position that is expected to extend up to 3 months.
Qualifications:
- Recent experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse setting
- Familiarity with various types of material handling equipment such as order pickers, cranes, and pallet jacks
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems and inventory control processes
- Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety practices in the workplace
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
