Industrial Sewing Machine Operator

Badger State Staffing is seeking a Sewing Machine Operator to join our client's growing team. This role is responsible for the fabrication, sewing, and rigging of nylon lifting straps and slings, ensuring they meet stringent quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of sewing techniques, rigging principles, and have a background in inspection, preferably related to lifting equipment or similar industrial products.

Duties:

• Accurately measure, cut, sew, and assemble nylon webbing into lifting straps and slings according to specifications and work orders
• Utilize industrial sewing machines to create strong and durable seams, ensuring proper stitching patterns and adherence to quality standards
• Properly rig and assemble slings and straps with appropriate hardware
• Conduct thorough inspections of completed slings and straps to identify any defects in materials, workmanship, or dimensions
• Adhere to established quality control procedures and maintain a high level of attention to detail throughout the fabrication and inspection processes
• Comply with all safety regulations and procedures
• Maintain accurate records of materials used

Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. There is opportunity for the schedule to adjust to a 6:00 AM start time upon completion of the onboarding process.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least two years of experience in industrial sewing, fabrication, or rigging, preferably with nylon webbing or similar materials
• Experience in inspection of lifting equipment or related product is highly desired
• Strong understanding of sewing techniques and seam construction
• Ability to regularly stand, walk, use hands, and reach

Job Types: Full-time, Temp-to-hire

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
