Job Summary
The Shipping Associate supports the daily operations of the Bad Boy Mowers Parts Department by accurately picking, packing, and preparing parts orders for shipment. This role ensures all dealer and customer shipments are completed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with company standards for quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick and pack parts orders according to pick lists, labels, or scanning systems.
- Verify part numbers, quantities, and order accuracy before shipping.
- Package parts securely to prevent damage during transit.
- Create and apply shipping labels, documentation, and tracking information.
- Stage completed orders in designated shipping areas for carrier pickup.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
- Communicate shortages, damaged goods, or order discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Support inventory control tasks, including cycle counts and restocking.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with company safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily shipping goals.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous shipping, warehouse, or distribution experience a plus (training provided).
- Basic knowledge of shipping systems, labels, and documentation.
- Ability to read and interpret pick tickets, part numbers, and order forms.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift regularly.
- Stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift.
- Tolerance for working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
