Facility Specialist

Job Overview:

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Fabrication Facility Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment within our manufacturing facility. The facility housekeeper will play a crucial role in supporting daily operations by ensuring that all work areas are clean, free of debris, and meet company standards for safety and cleanliness. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to work independently, and has a strong commitment to maintaining a productive workspace.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform regular cleaning of production areas, including floors, walkways, workstations, restrooms (as needed), and break rooms, as needed.
• Collect and dispose of waste materials, scrap, and recyclables from work areas, emptying trash and recycling bins as needed.
• Clean and maintain common-use equipment, including shared tools and surfaces, to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning and maintenance supplies as needed, and report any shortages to your supervisor.
• Adhere to all safety and health protocols, ensuring cleaning tasks are performed in a way that minimizes hazards for yourself and others.
• Identify and report maintenance issues or hazards to the appropriate personnel, ensuring that any facility concerns are addressed promptly.
• Manage dust and debris in production areas to maintain air quality and cleanliness standards.
• Assist with special facility projects, such as deep cleaning, machine maintenance, or rearrangements as requested by management.

Qualifications:

• Familiarity with housekeeping tools and cleaning agents.
• Understanding of basic safety protocols, particularly within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Good physical condition; must be able to lift to 50 pounds, stand, and move around for extended periods.

Working Conditions:

• This position may require standing for long periods, lifting, bending, and exposure to manufacturing noise levels.
• Exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, and other environmental factors is typical of a fabrication facility.
