Duties
- Safely operate a variety of trucks including manual transmission tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks across designated routes.
- Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with transportation regulations.
- Plan optimal routes to maximize efficiency and meet delivery schedules while adhering to all traffic laws.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports for each trip.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery status, route changes, or any issues encountered on the road.
- Ensure cargo is secured properly during transit to prevent damage or accidents.
Requirements
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating manual transmission trucks and handling various truck types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks preferred.
- Proven experience in freight delivery, load & unload procedures, and route driving.
- Ability to operate forklifts or other loading equipment is a plus.
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and cargo securement.
- Strong communication skills for effective coordination with dispatch and customers.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
