Position Summary
The Evening Bus Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of students to and from BIM’s afterschool program sites. This individual plays a vital role in ensuring students arrive safely, maintaining a positive and supportive environment on the bus, and upholding all transportation safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a passenger bus or van along assigned routes and schedules.
- Transport students to BIM afterschool program sites and return them home or to designated drop-off points.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance or safety concerns.
- Enforce safety rules and ensure students remain seated and follow proper conduct while on the bus.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and route logs.
- Communicate effectively with site coordinators, parents, and staff regarding transportation needs.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws, as well as BIM transportation policies.
- Valid Tennessee Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger (P) endorsement required.
- Clean driving record and ability to pass required background checks.
- Previous bus driving or commercial driving experience preferred.
- Strong commitment to student safety and well-being.
- Ability to manage student behavior positively and calmly.
- Dependable, punctual, and professional.
